I'm Back!

Welcome back to blogland!

I know how you feel about the bronchial cough situation. I get coughs like that quite regularly and as I am quite resistant to most antibiotics I just don't bother with the docs. I have found though, that when I am in one of my anaemic phases that I get ill more - so I am working on keeping up my iron levels.

Loving the girls sitting reading. Nothing pleases me more than kids reading. I get all my neices and nephews books instead of chocolate eggs at Easter - my thinking is that they get so much chocolate already and I know how much they enjoy the books. My brother loves to sit and read to his kiddoes so it's good bonding time. My gals still sit together like that and do it to me as well. In fact, it feels completely natural to be sat on the floor and have one of them come up and knock one of my legs over to the side so they can get in the gap and have a hug.

I almost didn't check today! Sad you were so sick but you don't get much sympathy if you don't ask for help or seek help! Yup. I'd have come and helped you! Glad everyone's feeling better, hopefully see you Monday. J is going to email out invitations probably tomorrow (as part of a Cub badge too). And I love the pic of the girls reading! I've been reading the Narnia books to the kids and got the CD of them and we've been enjoying them in the car too. I thought about the girls too, figured B would enjoy the stories too. Very imaginative!

Hi Lizzie! I love reading to the kids, and I am so happy that my oldest daughter has such a passion for reading (like me!). She's turning 5 in June, and she is at a higher reading level than most of the 5 & 6 year old kids in her class! It must be from me reading to her since she was a baby. I hope the twins enjoy reading as much as we do!

I give books to the kids all the time as gifts. I agree with you -- they last so much longer than candy!

Hey Sis!

Looking forward to J's invite. We'll be there!

I have the Narnia Chronicles already.... I read them last year. I think Brianna would really like the stories, but we have a pile of new ones waiting to be read already. I think I'll wait a couple of years before I dive into Narnia with her.

We're reading "Ramona The Pest" right now (remember Ramona??). I also bought her "Anne of Green Gables" and "Anne of Avonlea" for her to get into in a few years. I actually bought them now so that I could read them! What kind of a Canadian girl am I? I've never read the Anne books!

"The best of friends and the worst of enemies"

I second that thought. My little guys wouldn't know what to do without each other, even when they're fighting.

I know what you mean, Jean! Sometimes the girls are so sweet to each other... and other times, well, not so much!
I believe they are truly happiest when they're up to mischief together. :-)
